TIPS (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving, Russia) is a technology for developing children’s thinking, speech and imagination. Invention is expressed in creative imagination. TIPS is a technology of analysis and problem solving. For example, children are offered a word / subject (as an object of interest).

The teacher uses this tool to demonstrate to a child what the word or the subject is made of, to build a logical chain using brainstorming, to analyze the word or the subject of interest, and to motivate to be creative. As a result, children develop the ability to reveal unity and contradictory properties, systems and subsystems, phenomena. Solving contradictions is key to creative thinking.

TIPS method develops children’s abilities to work with schemes, think creatively, analyze and draw conclusions.
